I love staying home with lo and wouldn't change it for the world. I get out about once Or twice a week. I notice some weeks are harder than others and I feel a bit overwhelmed...what do you do to maybe unwind or get your me time but at home? Maybe because we're both sick this week and have been couped up from our regular playgroups and such but this week I feel tired and blah at the end of the day.
I think i mean what keeps you inspired? Motivated?
Re: How do you rejuvenate? Through the slump days?
I definitely have noticed I go through these days/weeks as well. Throw in a child I babysit who is a bit more ...rambunctious... than mine and I just feel ugh.
Make sure to take time to actually play with the kids. Not just be in the room while they play or try to organize something for them to do- but let them take the lead and immerse yourself into their playing. I have found that when I ignore the blah and let myself simply play, time goes faster.
Also, some days when DH gets home, I let him take over DS while I get to some deeper cleaning that's been on my mind before getting dinner together. Just that short amount of time to get something done that's been bugging me helps. DS is entertained elsewhere and I have some quick productive time.
I know both of these may sound obvious and simple- but they help me some days.
