Thursday Exercise Checkin

So, it did "cool off" here but it's not actually cool because there's no wind...I'm hoping that changes.  I'm going to take monster for a walk today, and I'm going to try to convince my hubs to have Thai food tonight (my acupuncturist recommended curries for natural induction)  :)

I hope Zooropa is doing OK and has her baby girl in her arms!  I can't wait for an update.

  • Bummer about the weather, Spacey.  I hope it does indeed cool off for you soon! I also hope Zooropa has her little one with her! I can't wait to see pics and hear how her birth went. 

    I'm walking my dog today and am determined to do 40 min on the elliptical.  Even with how hard it is to keep myself going to the gym at this point, when I am on the elliptical it is usually the best I feel all day. 

    Say, are these exercise checkins going to continue post baby as we seek to lose the weight?

  • Ran 2 miles yesterday and stacked some firewood. was hoping it would move things along.  Had cramping all night last night - have a Dr's appt today and hoping that I've at least started to efface a bit!  Been having BH for about 2 weeks and I'm sick of contractions that don't do anything! :P

    Good idea with continuing after LOs are born turtlewifey!

    I'm not sure I'll be able to get in any exercise today with how work is looking :-( But I plan to have one last great session at the gym tomorrow during lunch on my LAST DAY before maternity leave!!

    It's supposed to rain this afternoon, and I'm really hoping that brings in some wind and helps with the humidity.  70 degrees with humidity is worse than 80 and dry.  Ugh.  I just want some decent cool weather so maybe this swelling won't be so bad.  I'm sick of having Stay-Puft marshmallow feet, ankles & legs :)

    I'm happy to continue doing checkins, but of course I'll be taking a postpartum break until the doc clears me for exercise again - so anyone who is due later in November can take over for a bit or I'll just come back once I can start walking or anything (it shouldn't be more than 2 weeks if I have an uncomplicated birth).

  • That sounds good.  I don't know if I"m going to get anything in today, I am really sore from yesterday.  If I can feel better I'll take the dogs for a waddle.  My mom is coming in for the weekend, so I need to clean the house if nothing else!

    Housecleaning is a workout...when I first got an HRM, I wore it cleaning my bathroom because I was curious and I burned 300 calories 45 minutes :)
