Gdiaper users/ haters

I have been using Gdiapers pretty much exclusively with DD and love them. However, my short 17 lb fatty is already growing out of the mediums that are supposed to be up to 28 lbs so I'm looking for a new diaper. I like the gdipes but as she is bigger and more of a heavy wetter, I'm having issues with her feeling damp a lot as the liners are not completely waterproof and let moisture out.

 For a gdiaper user - what would try? I dont' want to spend a ton of money and I have lilke 17 inserts, so I would like to be able to use them as well. I'm looking at flips, maybe fuzzibunz? I have one BG 3.0 and not a huge fan, it's too bulky on her. Prefolds with covers will not fly with my DH and DCP.

 If you use gdiapers and love them, what else do you use. If you used them and hated them, what did you like better :)

    I liked my g-diaps, why not just buy the next size up? (Large)

    I use BG 4.0, thirsties duo size 2, alva baby, g-diaps cloth, etc. I like them all now that I have added hemp to my alvas!

    We like our gdiapers too!  Ditto pp, why not size up?  You can lay a hemp doubler behind the gcloth insert to increase absorbency if you need to.  We also lay the gcloth insert into a sized thirsty or bummis cover sometimes.  This would solve your waterproof cover issue.  If you like gdiapers you will probably like Flips.

    I like the concept of G's, just don't like that her butt feels wet after an hour. Putting a doubler in just makes her butt huge. I know that's the tradeoff with cloth, but I feel like there are other options out there that will help absorbency and be slimmer. Also, I bought some doublers (I think hemp) and they wick the moisture right to them, which is great, but they lay right against the liner so her butt gets wetter feeling faster, drives me nuts. What doublers do you use?

    I did buy a few larges, but if we're already in large, I feel like we are going to max out at some point! Maybe I will try Flips, thanks!

    I fold a hemp babies doubler behind the gcloth.  It is super trim and doesn't add any bulk.  Make sure you have the fleece layer towards your LO's bum as this will keep her skin dry.  Keep in mind that your LO's growth will slow as they start to crawl and walk so she may be in the larges longer than you think.
