My baby is breech and since I don't want to try a version, my midwife suggested a chiropractor and/or acupuncture. I called my insurance company to see if either one was covered. The customer service rep asked me if the acupuncture was for pain, I said "No, it's to hopefully move the baby to avoid a c-section." Nope, that's not covered. Lucky for me the chiropractor is, and I have an appointment tomorrow.
But here's my question for the insurance company - you won't pay for a $300 treatment that could help avoid a multiple ten-thousand dollar c-section? That makes no business sense to me!
