While we are all baby-obsessed, I wanted to take us off track for a second and find out what everyone's hobbies/passions are! What do you do for fun, or to relax, or to unwind, or just because?
For me, I love to read - anything and everything - the internet, books, magazines. I'm def on information overload. I will pick up a book before I turn on the TV. TV? I'm obsessed with the news. LOL. Its like all I watch! I also like to scrapbook. I've made some really cute ones for friends (but none for me! go figure!). I want to add cooking b/c before getting pregnant, I cooked ALL the time. I host Thanksgiving every year and I truly enjoy it. (BUT haven't been cooking all that much lately - our gas bill is WAY down ).
I also love girly stuff, like manicures and facials and getting my hair highlighted.
Your turn!
Re: NBR: What are your hobbies/passions?
What a neat idea! I used to act, now I just teach it at a school. I would so go to a place that was like this!!
In my spare time, I like to write. I am in the middle of writing a book right now which I will hopefully try to sell before the baby gets here. It's in the final stages of edits so we'll see if I can get it together in the next few months.
I also love to read - mostly Young adult but I'll also read mostly anything. I just picked up the biography on Steve Jobs because he really fascinates me and it's very interesting so far.
I used to love to cook, but it's taken a back seat lately because I'm just too tired to do it when I get home. I have about 20 cookbooks and am trying to work my way through them.

I am also a reader...so much more now that I have a Kindle!
When I'm at home, I love to do crafty things like make jewelry and hair accessories and things. I also collect Blythe dolls (SO glad I'm having a daughter so that I can pass them on to her) and more than half of them were customized by me. Currently I'm working on re-rooting a doll scalp and then I'll have to sand and repaint her face. (I just finished carving her mouth a few weeks ago.)
One of my biggest passions is yoga though and it's killing me that I can't do most of the things that I used to do pre-pregnancy (I can do a lot of crazy arm balances and stuff and I just hope I can remember how to do all it later). I also miss hot yoga so much and plan on doing a 30 day Bikram challenge as soon as I can after B arrives to help with losing the baby weight! Right now I'm sticking with prenatal though.
And I'm totally getting B this onesie.
Sheep herding. I'm a total dog-nerd and love dog sports of all kinds but sheep herding is my #1 passion. I just love the communication, the skill of the dog and the naturalness of it. I love being outside and I love livestock and I love how a good dog can make a livestock operation, cleaner, faster and kinder.
I'm going to have to give it up though b/c it costs a fortune right now and, as we all know, babies are expensive so I'm a little sad, but I knew I would have to. I'll pick it back up in a few years and hopefully get a new, working bred dog. My lifetime goal is to run a dog in the border collie nationals.
I used to be "Chasingthedog" but it would never let me update my profile.

Business partners? Haha.
I really am looking into this as a possible career choice for me down the road. I just love intimate performance spaces...especially where there's alcohol.
If you need a book reviewer, let me know! I am a technical writer/editor so I do manuscript editing and reviewing all the time.
For fun, I love to watch movies with the hubby and work on craft projects. I also love to play with my dog and hang out with my friends.
ooh. thanks for the offer! I'll most likely be looking for beta readers/reviewers outside my critique partners in December/January if all goes to plan!

Th hobby I am most passionate about is making jewelry. It has suffered for the past year or two with getting married and moving a couple of times and now the baby, but I hope to pick it back up soon now that we have the space. I used to sell it, but haven't had the time to keep up with an inventory. I want to learn to knit this winter, too!
I also love to cook (when I'm not exhausted). DH and I love to travel as well.
I love to read, knit and watch movies
) Which are the perfect activities for me to do if I end up on bed rest (please no!). Those are the things I do just for me, when I need to have my sanity returned. Otherwise I like playing with my girls, going on family hikes, and eating whatever yummy stuff DH cooks. He cooks and I eat - its a beautiful balance :0)
OMG I miss Bikram so much!!!!!! Good idea about a 30 day post PG blast - hadn't thought of that!
