How many betas did your doctor want you to do?

I only had two...my friend told me her RE didn't release her until her HCG levels reached 10,000. I almost wish I *did* have to keep going in. I feel like from now until my u/s which is more than two weeks away I have no idea if things are going ok or not!

How many betas did you have?

I had 3 and after the third, they scheduled my u/s, which is still a week away. This two weeks is worst 2ww I've ever had!! GL to you!

I had 4, because mine started low and were slow risers.

For this pregnancy, just two. It was definitely a long wait between betas and u/s!

But, your betas are really good! I hope this 2ww flies by.

I had 3 and then they scheduled the ultrasound. The wait is sooo difficult!!

I had four. But, my first one was negative (3), my second one was 27, and I didn't get over 100 until my fourth beta. Yours was really good and doubled appropriately. I would be happy with that!!

I had 2 and then an u/s for the day after they anticipated my betas would be over 2,000 since there was some concern about an ectopic. My RE's standard procedure is 2 unless they are slow rising or there is some other concern.

I had 3, but only because my doubling time was 93 hours at first. From my second to third beta (which was a week of torture), it came down to 36 hours.

I only had 2 then had to wait over 2 weeks before my first u/s. VERY nerve racking!! Hang in there!

I had 2, but my RE usually does 3. However, since I was going to be out of town, we just skipped one. My 2nd beta was 34,689, so they scheduled the u/s for later that week.

I had four. My RE usually only does three but since my first beta was really low they ordered an extra.

I only had 1, apparently my #'s were good enough for them not to have to do it again. I was 5 weeks at the time though.

Mine are all in my siggy... I had quite a few but I actually wish I had less. They were considered low and every week when I got the numbers my RE was so pessimistic and I'd be worried sick. I would have been better off not knowing.

my RE and OB seemed content with 2... I was freaking though since they had not quite doubled and so I begged for a third today ...

Two, and I got the results after the second one for both. And yes it was the worse wait, for the u/s. I kept telling myself if there was no reason to be concerned all must be fine. The embryo needs time to grow. Good luck!

Only two because the second was such a nice rise they said they didn't need to keep checking it. I feel your pain, my wait until our 1st u/s is 17 days. It's killing me!

I had 5 that I kept track of but every time they took my blood they also did a beta and they were taking it once a week. It was craziness but my RE likes to dot all his i's and cross all his t's I guess

I only had two and after the 2nd one, they scheduled my ultrasound. They said that since I had an IUI, the chances of ectopic were slim.

Just two here, too. Personally, I think more betas just give you more to over analyze and worry about, because they are NOT an exact science. Hoping your two weeks go by quickly!

I had 2 with my previous pregnancy, they were 300+ and 900+. With this pregnancy I had 3. Same RE. This time they were 1500+, then 7500+, then 20,000+. I personally didn't like it. The third beta was a whole day of extra stress. I would have rather just waited for the ultrasound.

2, My RE only does two for everyone, followed by a u/s at 6w+.

Things are fine. I know it is hard not to worry.

We had three each time, but the third was our option (I.e. My neurosis). They usually just do two, if all is well, and an u/s at ~7wks, then graduation to OB. The wait is really tough, but hopefully just the first of many for you. GL!

I had 2 betas (16 and 20dpo), first u/s at 6w, second u/s at 8w. I was then released to my OB.

They said my numbers were increasing appropriately, so there was no need to keep sticking me with needles
