VBAC

Re-Introduction

I was here earlier in my pregnancy, DD2 was head down up until my 20 week u/s.  After that, she moved to breech so I stopped coming here because I figured that I was going to have a rc/s.  But last week DD2 decided to go head down, it took a few days but we had an u/s on Monday which confirmed she was in position.

So now I'm back in the vbac running.  I'm not totally set on it, my c/s and recovery was not difficult.  But I'm going to hang out here so I can educate myself a little, so I don't go into this birth thing blind.

Re: Re-Introduction

  • Congrats on her turning - at least you now have options available.

For me, the #1 reason I want a VBAC is to have an easier recovery.  So, since you crossed that one off your list, here are my other reasons for a VBAC attempt:

    - safer for me

    - the way God intend the process to work

    - the experience - immediate skin to skin contact, nursing

    - shorter hospital stay (to get home to DD#1)

    - to prove that I can and that I'm not defective

  • So glad she turned! This LO is breech as of right now too, but my OB said he could turn head down anytime up until birth so I'm going to try not to worry until we get to the bitter end...I think it's great you're looking back into your VBAC options, I hope we can read your story on here soon :)
