We're baaack!

This is just a quick post to say that Lila arrived two weeks post-due date on October 13th, 7:59 p.m. (the day before my b-day). She was 8 lbs., 20" long, and it was a totally natural delivery. Can you say PAIN? After that experience I would seriously consider a voluntary c-section the next time around! I was induced for two days using a balloon catheter and pitocin. Once contractions finally started, Lila was born seven hours later. Luckily I only had a small tear that required three stitches and the next day I had all my old energy back. I'm EBF so far and I've lost 22 lbs. of my 32 lb. pregnancy gain. Haven't been getting any exercise yet but can't wait to get on some kind of routine again. My neck is so stiff from holding baby!

Can't wait to read what everyone's been up to and compare notes! : )

Induced labors without an epidural or pain meds is very much more painful than if it wasn't induced. I was induced with DD and had a failed epidural, so I know what you went through. In the end, it's empowering and I'll be attempting a natural birth this time around as well.

Congrats on the wonderful nursing! I loved nursing and I can't wait to do it again. I hope you heal quickly! Best wishes.

Congratulation Mama!!, I am having a natural birth too. The problem is the contractions refused to be regular and I might end up getting induced. Labor dust needed here.
