Ugh!! Spotting Again

I hate that I have yet to feel excited about this pregnancy. I had spotting right around the time of my surprise HPT+, 10-12dpo, which I am guessing was implantation. Then everything has been great until today, 5 wks 3 days. I noticed some slight light brown spotting this morning. Put on a panti-liner and have noticed more throughout the day. Only once when I wipe; usually I just see more on the liner when I go to the bathroom.

I called my RE, hoping to feel better (really hoping they would say come in so we can look at things.) The nurse said all the things I already know. Spotting can be normal, not a problem if it's light brown, call if it changes color, gets worse or is combined with cramping, etc. She also said it could be that I irritated something with my progesterone supp, but I don't use an applicator, just my finger and the pill: Has anyone had spotting from a suppository without an applicator?

I absolutely know that this could be nothing at all, and likely is nothing at all, but I can't help it with that little nagging worry in the back of my brain. I just really want everything to be okay with my little one, and for this to be my take home miracle baby!! And....now I am crying. I'd been doing okay, til now! Embarrassed

2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    So sorry, hun. I know everyone says spotting is normal, but it would scare me to death too.

    I hope it's just nothing.

    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    hoping everything is ok with your little one. everything I have heard and read so far says it can be very normal in early pregnancy. hang in there!

    TTC since November 2008; me - poor egg quality,hypothyroidism,missing beta 3 integrin;
    DH - some MFI;

    1 month clomid plus timing - BFN;
    3 months clomid + IUI - BFN BFN BFN

    IVF #1 Nov/Dec 2009 - BFP - c/p;
    IVF #2.1 Jan 2011 - Converted to IUI - BFN;
    IVF #2.2 March/April 2011 - ER 3/23/11: 12 retrieved, 8 mature, 3 fert-ET 3dt 3/26/11: 3 embies - BFN;
    IVF #3 May 2011 - ER 5/19/11: 20 retrieved, 10 mature, 9 fert-ET 5dt 5/24/11 3 embies - BFN;
    Switched RE's for IVF #4 (CCRM) Oct 2011 - Surprise BFP before starting IVF #4!

    I hope it is nothing for you, first tri is just so emotionally and physically exhausting, I got some light spotting using progesterone but that was with an applicator.

    Thanks ladies for the good thoughts! So far just light, light spotting. Hoping it goes away by tomorrow, and that it's just "normal" spotting. And I agree mrshooi...1st tri is just ridiculously emotionally and physically exhausting. I don't need more to worry about!

    I had spotting, mostly brown, but some pink, before my BFP, while on vaginal Prometrium, and after I stopped the med. There was never any rhyme or reason to it. I still have light brown spotting off and on. I had several emergent visits to my OBin the first and second tri. He never found a reason for it. Hopefully, you are just like me and it means nothing (but freaky nonetheless)!!
    b/w=FSH 15.6, AMH 0.4 surprise natural BFP on 3/12/11
    DS born via unplanned C-section at 40w6d

    Thanks jb!!! Were you using an applicator for the prometrium, or just inserting it on your own. My nurse seemed to imply it was the applicator that can irritate the cervix, not the pill itself, which of course made me worry again, since I'm not using an applicator. And I agree, incredibly freaky. I just asked MH last night, "can't I just be normal at some point?"

    No applicator. It was a solid pill that melted easily, so I just inserted it with my fingers. My RE's nurse cautioned against inserting it all the way, so I never did.

    I know the spotting was not from the Prometrium only because I had it before, during, and after I took the med.

    My OB did several u/s's, as well as a cervical check at 15 weeks (when I had some bright red, mucus-y blood) and my cervix was closed, I did not have a SCH or anything like that.

    Hopefully you are just "odd" like me!

    Thanks!! I will gladly be odd, as long as it means everything is okay. My u/s isn't until Wednesday, so I've got a long 6 days to get through!
