I have my HSG scheduled for Friday and am super nervous. If my DH comes with me - will they let him in the room? Or would he just have to wait outside?

Not sure. Ask your nurse/doctor. I went by myself...did it on my lunch break!
After 5 TI Clomid cycles, 5 IUIs, and 2 IVFs we finally got our BFP!

MH went with me and they did let him in the room but only because I was scared sh!tless and about to lose it. It was nice to have him there for support. He stayed near my head and didn't see anything gross.
I brought a friend, but they wouldn't let her in with me so she waited in the lobby. It was certainly nice to have someone there when I was anxiously waiting, so even if your DH can't come in, I'd recommend bringing him if you're nervous.
PCOS--TTC since 11/2010:
5 cycles of Clomid: all BFN, 1 cycle of Follistim:CP
1 year break thanks to deployment.
1 cycle Follistim: BFN, Lap to remove peritubal cyst May 2013
2 cycles Follistim + trigger: BFN, Gonal F +IUI April 2014: BFP!!!!!!

I brought my mom with me and she waited in the waiting room. I'm really glad I did, because I had an awful drive home in Houston rush hour traffic and was cramping pretty badly. It was nice to be able to let my mom drive.
Good luck and remember to take some ibuprofen.

My clinic prefers that someone be there but they have to wait in the waiting room. If someone is there, you can leave immediately, if you don't have a ride home, you have to wait 30 minutes to make sure you're fine. But that's just how they do things at my clinic, every dr is different.
He will have to wait outside because of the X-Ray. They don't allow anyone in there with you. Although, I would definitely recommend him coming with you though. Everyone has a different experience but if you have a tough one, you will want him there for you afterwards. I really wish I had my DH with me.

MH had to work so I had my very close girlfriend take me. It was done at a hospital and they did allow her in the room with a special cape to protect from the radiation.
The funny thing was they thought we were *together* and after it was over the radiologist told my friend that we can "resume sexual activity as normal and good luck" That really lightened the situation because we were dying laughing!
Good luck girl!

Had an HSG done about 3 months ago and they originally told me that my husband could not go back with me; but when it was time to go back he was able to. It was nice to have him there, good luck hope everything goes well.
MH came with me, it was requested I had someone come to drive me home. They let him in the room with me the whole time. He did have to wear a lead vest/jacket for the xray though
