Pelvic Girdle Pain :(

Ok, ladies, this is miserable!!!!!!!  I have had it on and off for a few weeks, but now it just will not ease up, and from what I'm reading, it doesn't look like it's going to any time soon.  Does anyone have any helpful hints to get me through the next 16 weeks????

Re: Pelvic Girdle Pain :(

  • If it's what I think it is (the feeling you get after going horseback riding for the first time in a few years; after riding a bike all day, etc.), then what helps me is to waddle around and just keep changing position. One position for more than 15 minutes or so = guaranteed pain when I try to walk. Walking around a little seems to loosen it up, though. If you have a yoga ball, try sitting on that and gently bouncing. Also, try sitting like you're going to sit cross-legged, but put the soles of your feet together and gently stretch your knees downward. I also like doing slow "hula hoops" with my hips - this sometimes only helps any hip cramping I'm having, but I think it also stretches the muscles on my pubic bone, too.

    Good luck!

  • For me ice works really well.  I've been struggling with it sense 20 weeks (I'm 32 weeks now) and it really helps me a LOT.  I would try that if I were you...it looks funny icing your crouch but I swear by it haha.  GL!
