First Snowmageddon of the season is a ....

FAIL!!!!! We were suppose to have 8-12 inches of snow this Am but woke up this Am with 1-2 inches of wet snow:-( I guess the weather channel is wrong! Good side of this cold morning is I have a good excuse to get a hot cup of steaming pumpkin spice latte:-)

    See, now my first thought was "thank goodness I don't live there!"  I look forward to our first snow (hopefully the smallest amount possible) and then I'm done with it for the season, and if the first snow came in October, it would be a VERY long season for me....

    We have about 7-8 inches in Northern Colorado and the schools are still open.  My daughter was disappointed that she didn't get a snow day.

    I am in NW Denver (out by the Arvada/Westminster area) and we have about 6-8inches... but they say by the end of the day we will pick up another 2-4.  I hate to admit it but it's actually making me excited :)

    One thing Great about Colorado winters is we get tons of snow one day but after 48 hours it has melted already:-) today is high of. 30's but Tom it will be 50's and sunny!

    Yea, here in NE, once it gets cold enough to snow, it typically doesn't go away for months.  Then it turns to that gross black snow around the roads from all the salt, and it's icy and nasty, or it just gets bitter cold and windy with no snow.  If family wasn't so important to DH and I, we would easily pick up and move south...

    Haha, I'm from Northern VT originally-think Canada. I have 1 picture from Halloween where I wasn't in a snowsuit with either snow on he ground or in the air-and in that picture I'm in a wool sweater and hat, but no snow.

    Today, you could still be wearing flipflops in NE if you have warm toes.
