Gas pain after d&c

I had my d&c on Friday and recovery has been fine. For the most part, I have had almost no bleeding or cramping. However, the last two days I have been getting quick sharp pains accompanied by some pressure. I notice them more after I move from a position I have been in for a while or when I have to go to the bathroom (tmi sorry). I am assuming it's gas because it feels very similar to what I experienced after my c-section. I'll call my OB tommorow if it gets worse. Has anyone else experienced gas-like pains and bloating after a d&c? TIA

    I also go my D&C on Friday.  I've been feeling okay except for the gas pains.  They can be incredibly painful and are very uncomfortable!  I've been eating a lot of grapes and other fruit.  I've also been trying to walk every day when I get back from work.  My mom, who is a nurse, says that when you are dilated during the procedure, air seeps in and can cause bad gas.  Also, your uterus is shrinking and things are moving back into place.  Feel better soon!  I would call your doctor if you're concerned, but I don't think you need to be.  I'm going through the same thing!  My mom also recommended prune juice. :]

    ] Thank you! You make me feel so much better. Of course, I am sorry you are going through this too, but I am glad to know this is somewhat normal. Funny thing is, I had grapes for dinner to try and help. Great minds think a like. Thanks again.

    You're welcome!  I feel for anyone who has to go through this, it's not fair!  I'm just thankful I haven't had much bleeding and I can handle some gas discomfort.  Hope the grapes help you!  I hope it goes away soon so we can start feeling physically normal again.
