Headaches/acne...HELP!

So Im feeling sooooo much better now that the morning, noon and night sickness has passed just about completely but my face looks like ive re-entered the dreaded hormone filled high school pizza face stage, my face seems to get worse each day and I feel so ugly, I dont know what to do Im def not "glowing" except for red spots...also I seem to have horrible headaches not migrains just long lasting nagging ones that seem to come and go all day every day. Please if anyone has tackled these and have some things that help I am all ears!

Re: Headaches/acne...HELP!

  • I'm having both problems...acne on my chest and back like crazy and awful headaches all the time. For the acne, I'm just making sure I'm washing extra well, but it doesn't seem to make a bit of difference. For the headaches, if I wake up in the night with one, I know it'll last all day. I take a tylenol, then go back to bed. Sometimes that's enough to make it go away. Getting outside in the fresh air is a little helpful too. Sorry, wish I had better answers! Hopefully someone else will!!

  • Sorry I am no help with acne but the headaches I can give ideas for. Fist make sure you are drinking enough and by enough I mean a ton of water. With my son if I didn't drink more than a gal a day I had a constant headache and later on a lot of cramping. Also Tylenol and some caffeine not too much just some my ob said it was the best thing for headaches and it really helped. But try lots of water first gl

  • Most often with the acne, because it's hormone based, it doesn't make one iota of difference what you're doing to the outside of your body. Of course that doesn't mean you should give up on cleaning yourself before bed and in the mornings, but as you can't use (chemical) anti-acne treatments, it's probably a case of waiting it out ;) It does usually get better. Something safe to try is to get a few lemons, cut them into quarters and touch the fleshy/pulpy part to where your spots are worst to try to encourage them to dry up. For the love of Pete, please don't use toothpaste as you can burn your skin with it.

I feel your pain, though. i have an incredible number of spots that've popped up over the last couple of days and it's driving me crazy.

As for the headaches...the only thing that comes to mind is either lack of water, possibly potassium (if you've been throwing up, your body loses potassium and can give you headaches/the shakes), or maybe blood pressure. Try the food/drink route first :D

  • I'm so glad you mentioned headaches!  I've been having some really bad ones, and hadn't heard anyone else mention it, so I was worried there was something wrong.

  • I'm sorry that I dont have anything helpful to add, I just wanted to post that I am feeling your pain re: acne....I JUST found I am pregnant, and I have made crazy acne - like a 16 year old boy. Yeah, not so much "glow" kickin' off here either...
