s/o Christmas...God help me

DH thinks I have gone off the deep end but I am making Leah a kitchen for a joint Christmas/b-day gift. I bought this last week from the Salvation Army for $25.

I'm planning to turn it into something like THIS!!:

I just don't want to pay a fortune for a plastic one. So I'll be spending quite a lot of time in our garage come december!! I think it's SUCH a great idea since there are zillions of entertainment centers laying around because everyone is getting flatscreens. Whoever thought of this is a genious in my book...and I MUST do it!

Very cool. I was looking at that for the longest time, but kept finding ones that smelled like smoke. I ended up following the Ana White website instructions on how to make a kitchen.

What a great idea! We have an old entertainment center stored in our basement. DH is the handy one of the two of us, so I'll have to see what he thinks about this. Good luck! Can't wait to see pics of the finished product!
