Getting out of a waterbed pp?

Does anyone have experience with getting out of a waterbed after delivery?  I was planning on sleeping in the spare room with the baby (in a bassinet) so as not to wake MH up every night since he still has to work and I don't.  I'm having a little problem getting out of it now but will I after?  I don't know if I'll be in pain or if having to crawl out of the bed will cause me issues?

TIA

  • the first week might be hard if you deliver vaginally but if you have a CS then it might be wise to sleep in the other room.

  • I'm a FTM, so I don't know what healing will be like, but if I were you I would consider having DH sleep in the room with the waterbed and I would take the other one if I were thinking about being in a separate room.

  •  We had a waterbed when I had DS and it was AWEFUL for me! Now I did have a c-section but there was NO way and it was hard for me to get out of it before i had him. Needless to say I slept in the living room on the couch for like 2 weeks afterwards. Thank God now we have a new bed but I'm still kind of thinking I'll have to sleep on the couch for at least a few days because our bed is a little high for me. My poor DH didn't want to leave me alone in the living room so he slept in our recliner the whole 2 weeks!
