Has anyone tried this? Does it really work? I read the ttcal blog about it but it doesn't really explain. I tried to call my mw and talk to her about it but I couldn't get through.
The time I was really good about drinking it the whole cycle I did get pregnant (and miscarried). So take that for what it's worth. I still drink it from time to time, but my acupuncturist didn't really think that I should focus on that. In fact, she doesn't want me drinking much fruit juice period because of how much sugar is in it (and the fact that it's a "cooling" food which goes against what we're trying to do with my temps... whole 'nother story there!)

I'm trying it for the first time this cycle, so I guess I'll let you know if it works. From what I understand, it's 8 ounces a day from CD 1 until O. HTH!

I am trying it this cycle...I guess its supposed to help build your lining. But, to be honest the real 100% stuff is just too expensive...so i went with a 100% pom juice (with other juices added).
I just talked to the mw about it and she said she has never heard of it but would do some research and call me back tomorrow. All I can seem to find is articles about it increasing uterine contractions during labor. Does anyone have an scientific facts/article about this?
Thanks for all of your comments. I'll let you know what the mw says tomorrow.
I drank it CD 5 to O the cycle I got my BFP. Zero evidence that it helped, but when we're cleared to try again I will drink it again. My thought is that it probably doesn't really help, but it also can't hurt.

I heard about the pom juice right after my m/c so I thought it was worth a try. It was pretty tasty but it was also really expensive. I decided to do the POM wonderful pills instead because they were a lot cheaper and supposedly just as good. I can't say if it has helped me any but I figured for $35 (Amazon.com) it wouldn't hurt and was worth the try.
Oh and all I have heard (in relation to TTC) is stuff about it helping with building the uterine lining. Since we had to try to catch the first egg I was worried my body wouldn't have time to build a good enough lining so I wanted to do whatever I could to help it. I have heard people say it helped with their lining and that (when they didn't get a BFP) it made AF really heavy but I haven't gotten that far with it yet.
I started drinking it again a couple weeks ago. I drank it for 3 cycles, a little less on our BFP cycle than previous ones. I also heard that pomegranate is good for male fertility, too, so I'm going to get DH the pomegranate supplements (there are some much cheaper than $35, GatorWife!) and he will take those. It supposedly helps with motility and sperm concentration. For us, it increases blood flow and helps build the uterine lining (in theory).

We have the Costco-sized bottle at home because DH loves the stuff. I like it, but try not to drink too much of it because of the amount of sugar. I definitely am not doing the 8 ounces thing from CD1 to O.
I put it on a lot of ice and mix it with Sprite Zero. It's pretty good that way and has less sugar than mixing with other juices. I get the Just Pomegranate juice.

I drank it from CD1 through CD6 this cycle (8 ounces) and stopped when I learned that we were out this cycle. I had an ultrasound today (CD21, maybe 3dpo), and my lining was thin (5mm). I don't have anything to compare it to, but my cycles were quite thin/short before. Also, as for price, my grocery store carries a few brands besides POM. I get a 32 oz (I think) container for around 5.50, so that's 4 days worth. For most people, that would only be 20 or so dollsrs. check your grocery store. I found mine in the organic section (unrefrigerated). It's 100% pomegranate juice from concentrate, just like POM.

The cycles I drank POM my lining was a little thicker. Not much thicker, but enough to keep me satisfied.
I usually drink it with OJ. It kills the taste.
