OB/GYN Referral Help!

Hello!  I'm 33 years old and want to find a good OB/GYN in the Euless/Grapevine area.  I'm not pregnant yet but I need to have an annual done and find a doctor that I want to go with when I do get pregnant.  I have tried reading reviews online but they're all so confusing and everyone has a different opinion it seems.  I don't care if the doctor is male or female I just want someone that is going to care about me, take the time to listen to my concerns and not have to wait an hour to see them when I already have an appointment.  I've never been to anyone in this area before, but I think when I am pregnant I would like to deliver at Baylor Grapevine.  Any help/ reccomendations would be greatly appreciated!

  • I see Alan Cowen at Women's Comprehensive. They're located at Baylor Grapevine and there is a woman Dr as well if you're not comfortable with a male. www.grapevineob.com

I see Rebecca Robert in the same practice if you'd rather see a female. She is wonderful and everyone in the office is very helpful. Dr. Cowen discharged me from the hospital and he seems like a great doctor too.

  • I also see Dr. Rebecca Robert at Grapevine Baylor.  I really liked the hospital and the prenatal classes offered there.  The staff is really great!
  • I see Dr. Emmet at the Woman's Group in Bedford. Love her!

  • I hated Dr. Cowen. I told him I had a blood clotting disorder and he put me on BC anyway, assuring me there would be no complications. There were. He delivered me, and is just past his time. He'll do an exam, and then wont look you in the eye when he talks to you. I always thought that OB/GYN exams were supposed to just be awkward and uncomfortable, and when I got pregnant I decided I didnt want him to be my doctor since another physician told me I'd be considered high risk. I didnt trust him... I now see Cynthia Mace-Motta with the Medical Center of North Texas. She's at Las Colinas Medical Center which is 5 minutes from 635 and Macarthur. From the first visit, I knew that I'd never be back to Dr. Cowen's office - its like night and day, I LOVE her!

  • it may be a little bit out of your way, not sure, since i'm only familier with the burleson/joshua area but Richard Ondrizek at Hugley off of I35 is AMAZING! I have seen him several times, his nurse-practioner, Zandra, is also awesome. His whole nursing staff are super nice, they listen and they care. Dr Ondrizek has excellenct bed-side manner and he will take ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to answer any questions that you'll have. Here a few weeks ago, I had some test results that came back kind of off, and he spent 45 mins going over them with me and explaining what the test was testing for and what the results meant. His number is 817-568-1981
