(NBR) Weird FB post: WDYT?

Backstory: DH (41) has a late wife who had a daughter from a previous relationship when she was 16. This daughter knows DH as "dad" even though he is not her biological father. She is 20.

Ok so she went to a wedding with her boyfriend K.

Stepdaughters Post on Facebook:

"At the wedding reception with K. K's dad keeps shooting ice at me trying to get it down the front of my dress. He almost did it"

That would creep me out if my boyfriends 60 year old father was trying to get ice down my dress. THEN the responses she got were like "That's what you get for wearing such a low cut dress", "he wants you" and "he's losing his touch" from family members of her boyfriend. Seriously? I feel like I should sit her down and talk with her about what is appropriate behavior. Ewww. Just me or is this creepy behavior?

  • I definitely find that to be creepy behavior but I tend to be a little conservative in my views so realize I am a bit of a pearl-clutcher. But at 20 years old, I don't think I would be seeing the need to sit down and have a serious heart-to-heart. I might just ask her about the wedding and stuff and see if she volunteers anything, but I don't think I would push it...

  • Creepy, yes. Worth you 'sitting her down'? No. If she were underage then I would say that you should at least discuss it with her. But at 20 she is an adult and, while I agree that this is inappropriate behavior, she can do what she wants.

This!  Maybe someone should sit the father down and talk to him about how classy it is to be throwing ice around at a wedding.  And into a girls dress at that.  Tongue Tied

  • OMG...this is funny. Boy could I tell you some stories from when I was 20...yikes!!!! I think you are over reacting and if this bothers you guys then she has probably been a pretty good kid...which is good :)
  • Creepy, in our eyes, yes, but she is 20. Just ask her how the wedding went, and she says anything about, and if she felt uncomfortable about it, then you can talk to her.
