A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I think of the little boy on the movie Sleepless in Seattle (bc I'm a dork and love that movie) and then I think of the whale. It's still a nice name though. I like it.
I love this name. It was my first choice until a few days ago, when I had a random change of heart. I'm still keeping it in reserve for baby #2 though.
There's the whale thing, and Jonah Hill. Other than that, I just think it's a good name.
I've probably been on The Bump longer than you have.

I think of Jonah Hill. However, I do like the name Jonah. At one point it was on my list, but we ended up crossing it off for a couple others we like more. It's very cute tho, and yes I could see a man named Jonah.

my first thought is definitely not jonah hill although i love him ha. we ALMOST picked jonah as our name. like, seriously THIS close. but i tried to love it more than i actually did. i was so focused on picking a non top 100 name that i tried convincing myself it was perfect.
anyway i do like the name. it just wasn't "my" name.

I like the sound of the name Jonah, but I can't get past very church-y undertones, which would take it out of the running for me. If you don't mind people assuming you/your child are Christian, I'd say use it.
I don't think of any of those things really. I have.. well had a friend named Jonah. I love the name and we would totally use it if DH didn't want to kick the guys ass.
As a Marvel comicbook fangirl, I feel as though it is my duty to say this --
J. JONAH JAMESON
The newspaper editor from Spider-Man. He's one of my favorite characters and I just can't believe no one else thought of this.
Anyway, its not a bad association, IMO, but I could never bring myself to name a child after someone who thought of Spider-Man as a menacing criminal. Good choice.
My first thought was there is a Jonah in my son's daycare room. Also a Josiah. I like both names. I did think of the whale story and actor but so what if you like the name you like it

Ha, these were the two things I was going to say.
Beyond that, I think it's a nice name. It ages well, and is handsome and professional. It's on my long list.

This, but I live in Seattle. I don't know of the whale, and just realized who the actor is but don't go there first. Love the name, it's on my list.

I think of my nephew who is named Jonah and is absolutely adorable.
I also do not think Jonah is a christian name at all...it is actually much more of a jewish name.
