Re: does it matter if you do your shots in the same place

  • I did nearly 40 days of Lupron only on the left side of my belly since it was too irritating in the right and it was no problem, I just moved around where it went each day.
2 IVFs & 1 FET. Welcome home baby girl!

  • I think it's totally fine. I found that my left thigh was much less sensitive than my right so I took all my Menopur in the left and all my Lupron in the right. I tried my belly once 2 cycles ago and that was the first and last time! OUCH!
Me: 31, Dx: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, Elevated AMH of 18 DH: 34 & borderline morphology issues IUI#1/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = Mild OHSS & BFN IUI#2/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = BFN IVF#1 converted to FET due to moderate OHSS 21 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilized 7 frosties, 6 genetically normal December 5th FET with one perfect blast = BFN FET #2 = early February
  • I've never heard anything about the negative impact of doing injections on one side, but I think it would be okay. I also notice one side of my belly is a little more sensitive than the other. I try to alternate with the sides. For example, I do Menopur on my left and Follistim on my right. The next night I switch. Good luck!!

  • Should be ok. I have usually just tried to find an area that hasn't been injected in a while to avoid extra pain or sensitivity.

That's a good idea to switch sides. I've only been stimming for 2 nights but I've done Gonal F on my left side and Menopur on the right both nights. I think I'll mix it up tomorrow night and see if it feels any different. Thanks for the tip!
