Late Term and Child Loss

Share you favorite songs...

I have been listening to a lot of Mumford & Sons lately because it just makes me feel better.  I just like the calming effect it has and it helps me remember my Annabelle.  Any songs out there that you ladies listen to that help when you are thinking of your little ones???

  • A song from church called You are Mine.  I had it printed in Quincy's photobook.  I heard it at Mass a couple weeks ago and just let the tears flow.

  • I love "on eagles wings". I know Josh Gorban sings it, but I always cry when I hear it at church. There's a sing in Spanish too that just hit home so closely. I lost it when I first heard it.

  • Live like you're dying is my song with Aidan. He taught me to try to live every day to it's fullest. I would listen to a mix cd before every appointment and all of those songs remind me of him.

  • God Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts-- it was a song that DH had never heard until he started to compile our wedding playlist.  When he came across it he called me and told me he found our 1st dance...because he felt just like that song.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow -- I've always loved the sweet melody combined with the words -- it's a hopeful song.

I sang both to Logan when I finally got to hold him....I sang him to "sleep" (he died in my arms).

  • Maybe it is b/c my loss has been a couple years ago, but I like to listen to sad songs. Songs that lyrics talk about loss and heartache. Makes me think of Haleigh which brings a smile to my face.
