flammable or flameable?

i've seen it spelled both ways.

which is it, damnit?!??it's driving me nutso.

  • Flameable (although I don't think that's a real word even though we all use it)  Flammable means something that could catch fire.

  • "Flammed" drives me up the fuucking wall. ?It doesn't even sound right phonetically... like "loosing" which also drives me up the fuucking wall. ?

    It's flammable if by that you mean "something that can easily catch fire."

    It's flameable - not Webster approved but accepatable - if you mean that it's something worth being flamed. ?I prefer flame-able but that's just me.??
