4 month old --bottles and STTN

I'm just wondering how much your LO will take in a bottle (BM exclusively) at about 4 months old. 

DS eats just 3-3.5 ounces during the day and will go 3 hours between eating.  But at night with me he eats every 2 hours (through the night also) and will only very rarely sleep for 3 hours at a time without waking. 

 He isn't quite reverse cycling because he is usually at daycare 9 hours and eats 9 ounces, but it seems like it since he is up so much at night.

 Any recommendations?  I did reluctantly try bottles before bedtime, but even with a 3 ounce bottle before sleeping he was up again 2 hours later.

    I am gone from 7-6...I feed BF my daughter at 6:30 and then she will drink about 4 5-6 oz bottles thru the day until I get home.  I feed her again around 6:30 at night and then put her down.  She gets up around 4am to eat and then the cycle begins again. She is 4 mon. 2 weeks.

    You may want to put more in the bottles during the day and see if he'll eat more. Sometimes my daughter needs a little break at 3oz but will eat a couple minutes later after things settle in her belly.

    I did ask the Daycare provider if she thought he would eat more or if he wanted to eat more during the day and she said she didn't think he did.  He has been spitting up so much lately from both bottle and breastfeeding that I wonder if that has something to do with it.  I did try giving an extra ounce in the evening from the bottle after breastfeeding and he promptly threw it all back up.  Maybe he is just used to eating little amounts?

    Sounds like he needs more during the day.  9 oz is not very much.  I've noticed DD is extremely distracted during the daytime feedings lately and I can easily spend an hour trying to get her to finish.  Do you think that could be contributing?

    He could possibly need more during the day.  On the weekends he still eats every two hours since he is with me.

    My LO eats 3.5oz bottles every 2 hours at daycare.  I would try doing more bottles vs. more oz in each bottle.  My LO sleeps 7-6ish.

    OP- I could have written this exactly. So I'm not much help to you but know that you aren't alone.

    I have also been given the advice that he needs more during the day. I am trying to have him eat every 2hrs (3oz) during the day to see if it helps. My DS can also be a snacker so I'm trying to figure out how to get full feeding in as well.
