DS1 goes to bed around 7/7.30pm and DS2 around 7.30/8pm. While DS1 is having his bedtime routine (teeth and books) DS2 is either playing or hanging out in the swing.... Once DS1 is in bed, I'd give DS2 his last bottle and then he'd go to bed - at which point DS1 is already sound asleep. I've tried putting both boys to bed at the same time, but that doesn't work - they talk to each other & are not able to fall asleep.
DS2 has also started to be really attached to me & has started waking at night & will scream unless he's next to me. I don't think I can really let him self soothe and cry alittle, since he's in the room with DS1. So, he ends up in my bed.....
I'm not sure how to teach him to self soothe, if I "can't" let him cry alittle in the middle of the night. He does fine at nap times, goes right to sleep on his own (he gets put down awake).
Any advice/thoughts/tips? TIA
