no sex until baby is born :(

Orders from my OB. Baby is fine but my cervix is very, very vascular. So rather than risking the heavy bleeding again, no more sex. The end. She has informed me that I am grounded.

Gonna be a long winter. And spring. Won't be able to have sex again until May. Well, at least my birthday is in May. Birthday present! lol

    I'm sorry. Is it just actual penetration you have to avoid? What about any kind of foreplay that doesn't include things entering the vag? We aren't having any sex either just out of complete discomfort, and it's been a while for us, but we get by with foreplay and dryhumping - it's more satisfying for me than for DH, but I help him too. Good luck! Imagine what a relief that first time is going to be in May... and I imagine the anticipation will make it HOTTT.

    Oh that sucks! But you have to do what is best for the baby, even if you and your DH may not like it. Good luck!

    I need to clarify. My regular monthly appointment is next week. I think it is just penetration I have to avoid. The problem being: I'm one of those few women that foreplay does almost nothing for.  I need the actual "main event" for anything to happen for me.

    It won't be that bad... Just think about how large and uncomfortable you are going to feel soon. You probably won't want to have sex anyways :)

    Exactly. I was told that even with no sex if I end up having random spotting/bleeding, to either call the office or the hospital right away (depending on if the office is open or not).

    Gotcha. Foreplay is my favorite, so for now I'm managing, DH is struggling though but he knows it's worth it! Hope these months fly by for you!

    I am just waiting for the doctor to give us this news.  We had 12 weeks last time.  One up side, probably the only up side, is that when you really aren't feeling it, you don't have to feel guilty saying no :)

    OUCH! Well, my DH doesn't want to give it up; so It's been a rough fall for me LOL

    oh and on a more serious note, they don't want anything to touch your cervix, so vaginal penetration is fine as long as you don't go all the way to the cervix.  it's not much, but might be better than nothing some nights. 

    for example my cervix is so far up that i almost can't touch it anymore, that gives me a good 4-5 inches.  maybe a short vibrator or short dildo? 

    again, no cervix in your butt.  :)

    As someone on complete pelvic rest (nothing allowed) since 16 wks - I feel your pain!! We'll be cleared in April - just in time for my birthday as well :o)
