On Saturday, I got a card in the mail from my MIL with $100 in it. The note said, 'Today is your day! You do so much for those kids and you deserve to pamper yourself. So, go shopping and spend this money on only you!" How sweet is that? I went to Kohl's yesterday and got a new scarf, hat, pair of shoes, and a belt and still have $50 left. She may be strange sometimes, but I am really lucky to have a great MIL.

Wow, my MIL would have never done that! Hope that you had fun shopping! And without the buyers remorse too. Can't beat that.

Aw that is so nice! Glad you got some time to yourself and some great stuff...with leftover money to spare! You should use the rest for a nice spa pedicure or facial or something! Ahhh...
My MIL is pretty uninvolved, I actually got a birthday present for the first time ever from her and her husband this year. I was really surprised it was $100 to TGIFridays!
