New here
I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. I went to Urgent Care because I thought I had West Nile! I had blurry vision, felt weak and faint and laid in bed all night awake with the spins and nausea. The doctor gave me a big surprise. No one ever told me the first trimester feels like being hungover 24/7! Luckily I stopped wanting alcohol as soon as I must have gotten pregnant. I remember ordering a gin & tonic, my stomach growling and me pushing it across the table. Also after drinking 3 cups of coffee a day for 5+ years, I woke up one morning (must have been few weeks preggo) and the smell just grossed me out! It's so crazy how your body just knows. My cat too
She is so sweet she follows me around the house, sleeps on my bed no matter how my boyfriend tries to kick her off, sits by me and looks concerned while I'm throwing up in the morning. I also board two horses. My bf wants to get a puppy or dog. Isn't it funny how so many preggy women get puppies?? I don't know if it's a good idea. My cat doesn't go outside or have claws and I like that I don't have to worry about ticks or fleas (we live in the country where they abound). I'm excited to talk to other soon-to-be-mamas!! Oh my name is Lindsey and I'm 22. ![]()
Re: Hi!
Welcome and congrats!
Sounds like you have your hands full with animals, you may want to wait on the puppy, they are a lot of work and you may not feel up to it since you're growing a child right now
We got a full size dog about 6 months before we got pregnant, went through training classes with him and he's wonderful. Not sure I'd want to do that part now and he was 4 yrs old at the time, I'm just too tired most of the time.
