CHI. By far the best. My mom is a stylist so she gave me one. They are pricey but very worth it. They last forever and they are guaranteed as long as you keep the original packaging. If anything goes wrong with it, you send it in and they send you a new one.
I never knew that your hair was really wavy...you hide that well . I have a cheaper one, but would love to eventually get a CHI. I wear my hair up soon after I blow-dry it now, so I figure it is not worth the time or expense. Maybe in a few months
I actually got mine from Sally and it's called Generic Value Product (GVP). It's as good as a CHI (if not better) and muuuuuch cheaper. Also when I got mine, I got a travel size straightener with it!
I'm going to sneak in here (I AM from Upstate NY, btw) I got my CHI on EBAY for $56 including shipping. My hairdresser was absolutely shocked at the price and informed that it was indeed, the real deal. Plus, it's super cute. Purple with black zebra stripes. I have incredibly thick, very curly hair and it's the only thing that works. I would also suggest two products:
1. TIGI Sleek Mystique Haute Iron Spray (If your hair is wet, spray it in and blow dry before using the hot iron. If your hair is dry, just give it an all over spray).
2. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (1 pump in your hand, rub it around your palms and then through your hair).
Spray first, serum second. My hair stays perfect all day. Rain or shine. Any questions, just let me know.

They're on sale at Kohl's right now for $99. If you have a Kohl's charge, you could save 15, 20 or 30% more.
Let me know what you find-I'd like to get one myself!
