Ovidrel and IUI

How long does Ovidrel stay in your body? I took the shot 14 days ago and did IUI 12. I took a pregnancy test this morning (even though I was told to wait until the blood test later this week) and it was positive. Could it be a false positive because I tested to early? HELP!

    I wouldn't think ovidrel would still be there 14 days later.  It could be a false positive, but I doubt it.

    Hi!

    I would think that the Ovidrel is out of your system. I have used Ovidrel for my IUI/TI cycles and it is always gone between 7 to 10 days after I take the shot. I know our bodies are all different but I think this is your BFP! That's my vote!

    Married April 2010 TTC since ME 37 (DOR) DH 27 AMH 0.16 FSH fluctuation 30/6.2 SSH Clear Taking DHEA BCP 8/17/11 IVF #1 start 9/3/11 - Follistim (225),Lupron,and Lo dose HCG Converted to IUI only had 2 follies :( BFN BCP 9/28 IVF 1.2 start 10/11/11 - Follistim 450 + lo dose HCG
    Converted to IUI only had 1 follie :( BFN BCP 11/3 IVF 1.3 start 11/13/11 - Follistim (300)+Menopur+Dexamethasome - Made it to ER:) but not ET:( embies stopped growing day 3 IVF#2 new RE Estrace 12/8 adding in Provera 12/23 until 1/1 menopur,follistim,dexamethasome,ganerelix ER scheduled for 1/17wewBFFN w We are pursuing donor egg. 8/20/12 Had hysteroscopy to remove polyp but found that i have a t shaped uterus. Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.

    I'm so glad you asked this question becuase i'm having my first treatment w/ovidrel trigger next month - im hoping for you its def a BFP!! :) Let us know how your bloodwork turns out!! GOOD LUCK!!

    dx: MFI due to uncontrolled diabetes
    10/2011 baseline bw, us and HSG - ALL CLEAR!!, SA #s were looking good
    Nov 7 2011 Clomid monitored ultrasound - 2 follies on left side (one was 18-20mm the other was 22 mm) and 1 medium follie on right side
    Nov 9 2011 IUI #1 clomid + ovidrel trigger
    Nov 23 2011 BFP!!
    beta #1 11/23: 228, progesterone: 38, beta #2 11/25: 426, progesterone: over 40, beta #3 11/29: over 1100, progesterone: 30.4, beta #4 12/2: 1800, progesterone: 20.4 - starting progesterone suppositories, beta #5 12/6: 1600 :(, progesterone: 19, after a rollercoater of up & down betas we went ahead with the methotrexate shots and ultimately had a m/c 12/2011 :(

    I'm going with BFP!!!  I have been on Ovidrel for the past 4 cycles and for what I know, it only lasts 7 - 10 days.  Baby dust!!

     

    7/11 - Femera + Ovidrel + intercourse = BFN 8/11 - Femera + Ovidrel + intercourse = BFN 9/11 - Femera + Ovidrel + intercourse = BFN 10/11 = Femera + Menopur + Ovidrel + intercourse = BFN 11/11 - Femera + Mrnopur + Ovidrel + IUI = ??????

    I took another test this morning and tonight. Both postive. I cannot wait till Thursday. Hopefully it is good new still!
