We're thinking of doing it for the middle of the night. DS goes down just fine, but he wakes up several times during the night. He doesn't wake to eat, but I either have to pop his pacifier back in, pat him until he falls asleep, sometimes pick him up, sometimes bring him into bed with us. This can happen 3-4 times a night. If you've done CIO for middle of the night wakings, how did you do it? Just let him the cry the first time? Or did you go in once to check on them and then let him CIO?

    we did the Ferber Method which is going in in intervals... We did the same for going to bed and for middle of the night. It's hard when you are so tired, but if you are consistent it pays off!

    I didn't go in at all in the middle of the night. I went in once when she was going to bed and it made it worse. Then she cried for an hour in the middle of the night. The next night she slept right through and then slept through until last night she woke up and cried for 20min then went back to sleep...I didn't go in at all.
