Jogging strollers

I was wondering if i should buy a jogging stroller for the upcoming snow, I know my graco travel system which has fairly large wheels cant make it through sand, so im assuming the same for snow. So do jogging strollers make a huge difference in snow? The ones with bike like tires with tread. TIA

  • I don't know about snow, but it makes an incredible difference offroad and on sand.  We didn't buy a regular stroller, just a jogging one.  My husband is disabled, and so he has a hard time putting any weight on one arm...the jogging stroller made it so he can push the stroller so much easier.  We go to a lot of festivals, which are off-road and hilly, and the stroller has been amazing.  We just use it for everyday use and love it.  We got the baby trend expedition travel system....I think it is our favorite baby item!

  • We used ours in the snow and love it.  We have a Joovy.

  • I don't know about snow, but I have noticed that the real tires make a huge difference on sand and uneven terrain.  Our bumbleride twin stroller has the real tires (as opposed to our Maclaren single and Chico travel system, that do not) and I love how it handles sand with no problem.  I imagine it would do pretty well on ice and snow.
