I swear I have no luck!

Thank gosh I am a SAHM! Anyways I go to bed earlier then my hubby because he SNORES up a storm at night. Not to mention my dog is worse then him, LOL. The second they both come to bed I am up and I cannot fall back asleep- it sucks! I am constantly also shussing them all night because the babys room is directly behind our room. So finally when I get to bed it is about 4 am. It feels like I slept for 2 minutes and here's my LO getting up at 5:30 to start her day. I have been getting the WORST tension headaches also. I dont know what to do...I know its a bit funny with my hubby and dog snoring, but I just would secretly love to go to a hotel for the night and get 8 hours of sleep with NO NOISE! I know it could be worse my LO STTN for the most part but I still feel like my sleep is broken between staring at the baby monitor and hitting my hubby and dog to stop snoring! ahhh ok vent over now going to chug coffee! I am beat!

  • Hand the monitor to DH and put in earplugs. My mom uses them because my stepdad and their 2 dogs snore something awful apparently and they kept her up.

  • DH and I came to the perfect solution to his snoring and my constant need to stare at the baby monitor. I sleep in my own bed in the nursery next to baby's crib. I can sleep at ease being able to hear my baby and I don't have to hear DH horrible snoring. At first I said I would just stay with DD until she is 4 months when SIDS statistics goes down but now that she is almost 6 months old I really don't want to go back to DH room. Some may think it is bad for a relationship to sleep in separate beds but honestly I think it makes our sex life way better. It's like dating again DH says in his sexy voice "hey baby why don't you stop by my room tonight"

  • jg girl- I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I would love to stay in my LO's room. I can hear her and I can get sleep at the same time. I am just worried about what bad habits if any will come from doing this. But I cannot contiunue this way. Last night same thing again. My hubby came to bed at 12:30 snoring away woke me up from a dead sleep. Then my daughter got up at 2:30 just for a few minutes so by the time I fell back asleep it was almost 4. My hubby gets up for work at 5 so I was up then and my LO got up at 545!! OMG I cannot take it! LOL.
  • My hubby and I each spend one night a week in the guest room - no dog, no baby monitor, no spouse = wonderful sleep. This way, we are only apart for 2 nights a week, but it's enough to recharge with at least one night of solid sleep. We came to this schedule after sleep deprivation was about to kill us, and so far it is working pretty good.
