DS loves trains, so I made him this shirt to announce the pregnancy to our families. He'll wear it next weekend when we visit my family and then he can wear it when we Skype with the ILs after that.
I hate to admit that it took me a while to get the in "train"ing. lol I am not all there right now....
I thought about explaining it, but then I figured if I did that I really did a bad job with the shirt. I sort of think the train looks like a tractor...oh well!

2009 Apr, Aug, and Sept tried clomid cycles.... BFN. Oct...DH SA results were normal. Me...HSG - left tube was clear, right tube was slightly blocked. Dec - Clomid #4 200mg
Feb 2010 - IUI #1 200mg Clomid = BFN. June 2010 - IUI #2 200mg Clomid = BFN. March 2011 - IUI #3 w/ injectables = BFN (1st & last with RE, moving on to IVF). July 2011 - consult for IVF. Sept 2011, 1st IVF. Got our BFP on 10/2/11. Became a mom on 5/5/12 to a beautiful baby boy!
That's adorable! I was just looking at announcement shirts on etsy because I'm a little crafty, but I can't sew. I'm not sure if I'll order after my 7 wk appt or wait until after my 11 wk appt, but the announcement shirt will be more for the general public than our families.

So cute!! I already bought DS a "Big Brother" Shirt and even though he hasn't worn it yet, my Mom came over the night I got my BFP (and the day I bought the shirt) and I told DS, "Show Grandma the new shirt Mommy bought you tonight." Then he brought my Mom the shirt and she figured it out and started bawling!! Your shirt and idea is great!!

So cute! My brother/sister in law did this with their little one and took us a while to figure it out lol (their children are going to be very close together though). I just figured it was a hand-me-down!
So cute. Mind telling me how you did that? I might just try to make one instead of spending the money on one from cafepress.
Print letters off your printer onto thicker paper (cardstock). Cut out the letters. Iron "Steam-a-seam 2" (the 2 is important because it is double sided} onto the back of your fabric following directions. Trace the letters onto the back of your fabric. Make sure that the letters are going the right direction when you look at the right side of the fabric. Peel off the backing and iron the letters onto your shirt. I stitched around the outside of mine with my sewing machine, but you don't have to...the edges of the letters will just fray a bit.
