Re: Teagan
Tegan and Sara are twin sisters who make up a Canadian band of the same name. I first heard their music in the late 90's/early 2000's. I quite liked the name when I first heard it.
I now know a teenage male Teegan and his behaviour makes me cringe; therefore, I do not like the name as much as I once did. 'Tis the life of a teacher though. *sigh*
FWIW, I prefer the spelling as Teagan.

I agree with this.
I have no idea how to say this name. A little girl came into my work with this name and I said her name as "Tee-gan." Her father quickly corrected me that it was said like Meagan, but with a T.
This made me not really care for the name.
I'm not seeing the difference. Is Meagan pronounced like Megan? It looks like Mee-gen to me, which is how Teagan would be pronounced.
He equated Meagan to being said as "May-gan" and said his daughter's name was said as "Tay-gan." I said the name as "Tee-gan."
When you name your kid something different I think you have to get used to it not being pronounced the way you expect it too. That being said, I read the name as he pronounced it, especially when dealing with a little girl.
OP- I like Tea (Tay) or Teah (Tay-ah) as nn. Personally, I like the name, but I grew up with someone with the name and like when really old names make a come back.
We considered it for our little one but my husband is on a mythology kick ATM. I love that it means poet.
I like Teagan. I went to college with a girl named Teagan, and I think it suited her really well.
It's a two syllable name. It doesn't need a nickname.
