I use a hat when she is pulling her hair. Also, I use a brush when washing her hair. She still has a little cradle cap, but I use oil to loosen any scales before washing.
She is 3 months and 1 week. She just started doing this this week.
Is she showing any signs of pain, like thrashing around, kicking her legs hard, screaming, while she is pulling her hair? My DD did this when her tummy hurt very bad.
A physical therapist that made a presentation to one of the hospital groups I go to said this is normal. They are learning cause and effect and pulling hair is an easy way for them to learn that. They pull hair they feel a feeling (even though it's pain). Maybe try to get some good cause effect toys to play with. Simple things like crunchy noises or Bells that easily make sound when hit or kicked.

Re: Pulling her hair out!!
Hi have you tried a hat for her? Also maybe her little head itches, do you use a brush when washing her hair?
