It took 5 days (very stressful days) but LO finally nursed today and we have yet to give her a bottle all day! YAY! I thought this would be the end of BFing for sure...but looks like we get to nurse a little longer.
Just wanted to give any other ladies out there experiencing a nursing strike hope...it can end
Let's hope there is no encore!

Re: The nursing strike finally ended!
That's great! It's really unheard of for a baby to wean under 1 year of age, so you've got quite some time before you need to worry about that
My LO has done the same thing many times since about 4 or 5 months, mostly when he's teething, but sometimes also when he's learning a new skill and is really distracted. If I ever feel like he didn't eat enough during the day I go in about an hour or 2 after he's asleep and dream feed him and he'll nurse for a long time and fill up his tank. Pedi said this is totally normal and not uncommon.
Hope your LO won't go on strike again anytime soon, it's no fun!
Congrats! That is wonderful news.
I think I may be hitting a nursing strike with my daughter, so I would love to know what finally worked for you.
I'd love to say it was some magical trick that worked...nothing so glamorous. I just kept offering her the breast in hopes that she would take it...finally she did! I guess it was just persistence
