The nursing strike finally ended!

It took 5 days (very stressful days) but LO finally nursed today and we have yet to give her a bottle all day! YAY! I thought this would be the end of BFing for sure...but looks like we get to nurse a little longer.

Just wanted to give any other ladies out there experiencing a nursing strike hope...it can end :)

Let's hope there is no encore! 

**background: When I am home we BF but I work full-time so she gets bottles of expressed milk 4 days a week

    That's great!  It's really unheard of for a baby to wean under 1 year of age, so you've got quite some time before you need to worry about that :)

    My LO has done the same thing many times since about 4 or 5 months, mostly when he's teething, but sometimes also when he's learning a new skill and is really distracted.  If I ever feel like he didn't eat enough during the day I go in about an hour or 2 after he's asleep and dream feed him and he'll nurse for a long time and fill up his tank.  Pedi said this is totally normal and not uncommon.

    Hope your LO won't go on strike again anytime soon, it's no fun!

    I just want to say congrats and whew!  DS#1 went on a nursing strike when he was about 9 months old and it was so hard and heartbreaking.  To this day I don't know what caused it but I remember feeling so happy when it was over.  Good job sticking with it.

    I'd love to say it was some magical trick that worked...nothing so glamorous. I just kept offering her the breast in hopes that she would take it...finally she did! I guess it was just persistence :)
