and that he respects our choices and reasoning.
DS has been having fevers (104+) every 2-3 weeks for 3-5 days. He has pretty strong reactions to vaccines. The 2nd flu shot brought upon our first ER visit with a 104.2 fever and they just seem to be getting stronger.
We had his 15 mo visit on Friday (we were a little delayed with vax because at 2 months we were struggling with FTT and then we were waiting for his genetic results in case it was metabolic/mito issues) and it was time for the flu shot, MMR, and chickenpox. I told him we wouldn't be doing any that day and he didn't say a thing. I did explain my reasoning, we're going to a wedding that is 7 hours away this coming weekend and my parents are staying with DS. Knowing that he will almost 100% definitely have a reaction to the vaccines I didn't feel comfortable leaving my parents with that responsiblity. So we'll make a nurse visit and go in next week to have them. It's just nice that he respects our choices and doesn't launch into a vaccine debate (of which I'm pro vax, but I also know my child and that he's already having issues I want to take it slow)
After some of our specialists (our neuro who told us he screamed all night because we didn't make him cry) who talked down to us so badly it's a breath of fresh air to feel respected.
