When you did your 24 hour collection, did they recommend that you try to eat as much protein as you could during that 24 hours (and leading up to it)? It seems to me that would skew the results, if you suddenly start eating a lot more protein than your body is used to.

Thanks. I was induced with my first at 37 weeks because of slightly elevated BP (138/88) and a 24 hour urine of 378. But they told me to eat as much protein as I possibly could before and during the test because that way if I was spilling proteins, it would really be able to pick it up.
I felt at the time that seemed odd, and afterwards felt like they were overly conservative - I had not other symptoms of pre-e, and the BP was borderline high, and the protein was in the mild range.
I've been stressing through this whole pregnancy about the possibility of having BP issues again, and it was nagging at me.
