Congested 6 month old....

Any tips on what I can do for my congested LO.  I have done the saline spray and nose suction bulb to no avail, the congestion is further up.  He doesn't have a fever and is acting fine during the day.  He just gets very stuffy at night and is waking up having trouble getting comfy.

 Has anyone tried the Vicks Babyrub??

    Cool mist humidifier?

    Our pedi has approved a small dose of children's claritin on occassion.

    The J & J vapobath has helped my LO.  Also, a steamy bathroom can help. . . sit LO in his bouncy seat while you take a super hot shower.

    What everyone else said is right on. What helped my LO just a few days ago was a steamy bath before bed and her humidifier overnight.

    Hope your LO gets better soon.

    T was congested a few weeks ago so we put a hot mist vaporizer in her room with vicks in the water and she slept through the night with no problems.

    I brought DS into the bathroom with me while I took a long, hot shower. It really worked for a while. A humidifier is a must too.

    My DS was sick a couple of weeks ago. He was very congested and it ended up being RSV and they put him in the hospital. Once we got home I used the cool humidifier and that really helped. I used the Vicks but only a couple of times and I dont knwo if it was the humidifier or the Vicks that helped. Now I turn on the humidifier every night to keep the moisture in the air. Make sure the humidifier is on the other side of the room from baby though because it will make them cold.
