DD's Lovey
...is missing! I've been searching for a back-up for months and could never find one. She was with my in-laws all day today and we tore up their house for 45min with no luck. Of course she was dragged all over the city too, but they dont think she left the house with it. I'm sick about it-have been dreading this day for a long time. I've searched everywhere online I can think of and can't find another one like it-I can find it in other colors/patterns, but not the actual one. I felt so bad at bedtime when she kept asking for it. I'm praying it turns up!

My dad picked Evan up from daycare on Monday, and he forgot to grab his luva bear. We didn't realize it until about 6:30, and DC closes at 6. I was sick about it (and papa felt awful), but it really wasn't a huge deal to him. I prepared him the whole night, telling him luva was having a sleepover w/ his friends at school. When he went to bed he asked for him, but then quickly said "oh, luva's at school!" He did wake up twice overnight kinda crying.... probably because he couldn't find him. But as soon as I went in and rubbed his back he feel right back to sleep.

They stopped making dd's lovey, but I found it online for like double the price and bought it. For a while I was rotating it out and washing them since she would chew/suck on the dog's nose and it would get nasty. Then one day she saw the second one and was all "2 Abby dogs!" and so since then she sleeps with both. So now I am back to no backup either.
I hope everything went okay last night. I'd probably take him to the store to pick out a new lovie and hope that he finds something he likes (and that he doesn't latch on to the most expensive thing in the store.)
Alex's lovie does have a backup and I rotate them and wash them a lot because he's always chewing it. One day I washed both of them at the same time and he realized half-way through the wash cycle.
They don't carry them anymore, but Target did sell his lovie for a long time. I would always purposely walk past the rack of them just to see his reaction.
Yes! My ILs found it this morning at their house. DH somehow found one on ebay last night (I searched there like crazy and nothing came up) so we did order a back up as well
