Tell me it's okay....

Last night I went on a hike with my H and the physics students in his department.  It ended up being more strenuous that we had expected.  It wasn't super long (a couple of miles), and it was mostly paved, but it was straight uphill.  I think it was 2800 feet up.

Anyway, this morning Lucia isn't kicking or moving around at all.  I know that exercising too strenuously isn't great, but I assume that is because it could make me go into labor, not because it would do something specifically to her.  So I'm sure she's fine and just having a morning nap, but she normally is moving all about and it's kind of freaking me out a bit.

What do you guys think?

  • At the moment I'd say you're probably OK. My little girl is starting to move around constantly - like, ALL THE FREAKING TIME. So, when she stops for a while, I get worried. But she's only human, and needs a break every once in a while. I'm guessing yours is doing the same. I think if you go for a couple days without feeling her move, you should probably call the doctor, but I wouldn't freak out too much just yet.

  • I think she's fine. But I would drink some juice and go lay down on your left side. I bet she starts moving.

( I freaked out about 1000 times during my last pregnancy when I wouldn't feel movement. I would drink orange juice and lay down and I would feel ds move).

  • I think you are fine. LO was a crazy mover last week and now is just kinda...moving a little bit. It's been freaking me out, but I know it's normal so I have to keep that in check.

  • Aw, bet the hike wore her out! She needs her rest. My son has long bouts of stillness after I have had a particularly rough day.

This.  If nothing happens in an hour, eat some chocolate and lie down again.

This exactly.  A few weeks ago when I was helping my parents move into their house, I noticed the LO moving less.  I wasn't even doing that much, just opening the boxes and putting things in cupboards really, but I was on my feet a lot it exhausted me so I'm guessing it exhausted baby.  It made me worried, but the moment I started driving back home, baby was all over!  Probably helped that I had an oreo blizzard on the way home, LOL!
