Just when I thought the acne was improving...

It's just migrating.  I had some nasty stuff going on at my hairline and on my forehead for a few weeks.  I started some new products a friend recommended and was seeing some great improvement...until yesterday.  It's just being sneaky and has migrated to my jawline, and I'm seeing the beginnings of a major outbreak.  Yay.

My skin was getting bad just after going off birth control for a couple of months.  A good friend is an esthetician and gave me a facial and recommended these products (that she uses in her spa) before we found out we were pregnant.  I only just started using them because I just wasn't sure of their safety for pregnancy.  I contacted the company, and looked up some of the ingredients and haven't found anything to say that I shouldn't be using them.  They're kind of pricey, but I only use a couple of drops of everything and I only use them at night, and just use a gentle cleanser in the morning, so I think they'll last for quite a while.  My friend said that my skin was so congested that I really need to do lots of exfoliation every day.  I sounded harsh to me, but now that I'm doing it, my skin looks so much better (except for my jaw line - ugh!!)

    So, here's what I use:

Vivant 3 in 1 Mandelic acid cleanser mixed with what I think are the Vivant buffing grains (she sent me a sample in a different package) (ETA: maybe it's the exfoliating cleanser - not sure), then Vivant 3 in 1 toner that I kind of scrub on my skin using these nail and cosmetic pads that have a little roughness to them (HandsDown Ultra nail and cosmetic pads).  Then I just use my own moisturizer.  Side note:  mandelic acid is supposed to help with melasma, also called 'pregnancy mask', which is skin discoloration that some women get during pregnancy.  I already had a few hyperpigmented spots on my face, so maybe that's another reason why she recommended these products for me.

Anyway, just wanted to share what's been working for me! (for the most part!!)
