WDYT- bed bugs

So i went to a neighbours they wanted to show me some scentsy thing? A scent thing anyways, she took me up to her bedroom and was showing it to me there. I notice she had no sheets and there were black bed bug like marks all over her bed. I didnt touch anything or sit down, I came home took all my clothes and shoes off in the tub and washed the floor. Do you think im ok or did i track it in! Im freaking right now. How - im going to say "trackable" are those nasty things.

    I'd be worried, too, only because bed bugs are so.. infestational, if that makes any sense. But their 'host', unlike fleas, aren't people or animals, they're more interested in harboring in their habitats until feeding time which is in the wee hours of the night/early morning. They usually will stay hidden until then, and come out when it's quiet to bite/feed.

    That being said, they aren't like fleas and won't just jump on to your clothing or skin desperately trying to feed on you, which is good - the only thing you might have tracked is eggs if the floors were carpeted.

    I have a pretty extensive knowledge of the bed bug issue since me and my family struggled with it bad last year & it was a nightmare. :/

    What does this mean?  Am I alone in not knowing what "bed bug like marks" are???  I think I am missing out on some crucial piece of information now.  Please tell me so I can be paranoid and inspect every piece of furniture I ever let my big booty come in contact with.

    I lived in a apartment 2 years ago, and was always afraid to get bed bugs since its multi-unit. So i googled it haha (blash ash like look) Gross.. and her floors were hardwood and so are mine so i washed them and striped in the tub. I hope i didnt catch them i just got a new bed a month ago!!!!

    I would totally be as paranoid as you are and would probably need a stiff drink after this. 

     That being said - it sounds like you did everything reasonably possible to avoid bringing anything into your home.  I am sure you are fine.
