I know there are a handful of us out there that have upcoming IVF's

Any updates??

I got AF yesterday, and I dont think I've ever been this happy to see her! I get baseline ultrasound tommorrow and if everything is okay we will start stims. Looking at my drawers of meds freaks me out. Anyway I was thinking of you ladies and wondering where you are in your journey!

    Tonight will be 5 nights of stimming for me.  As of yesterday, I still had a long way to go.  One measured at 10, 4 others unmeasurable.  E2 was 45.  GL to you! All the meds can be intimidating at first.

    I'm on day 5 of stimming.  I'm anticipating an ER sometime around Halloween, which is my birthday, so hopefully that will bring me luck!

    I have my beta from my 3rd IUI on Nov. 1st. If I get my period first, or if it is negative, I will start birth control in prep for IVF. I will have TONS of questions, so thank heavens for you girls!

    Hi ladies, I'm new to the board and just posted an intro earlier in the week, but I'm doing my first IVF at the beginning of Nov. Today I had my baseline US and blood work and they said everything looks good. Now I'm just waiting on AF and I start stims on Monday. I'm nervous for the injections!

    Sorry if this is a dumb question, but doesn't the baseline usually happen after AF?

    I am on BCP until the 28th. Baseline u/s on Halloween and then Start stims on Nov 1. The amount of meds is insane and beyond expensive!!! Kristin

    I'm cycling right now!  Tonight is my third day of stims. Sunday, I'm going in for an ultrasound. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not cancelled this time. Estimated EER/ET the week of Oct 30. Good luck everyone!!

    I've been on Lupron for 8 days now...AF got here 2 days ago; b/s u/s & stims on 10/27; est ER 11/8. Sooo ready to start stimming! :)

    Butterfly, I know you're nervous, but you can do this!  The anticipation is typically worse than the actual experience. It's definitely a rollercoaster, but you'll do great. Just be sure to slow down if you can and be good to yourself :)

    Thanks for the encouragement!  :)  I'm sure that I'll feel better (mentally at least) after getting through the first day of stims.  That's what happened with the Lupron. 

    My fingers are crossed for a good u/s for you on Sunday!  Let us know how it goes!

    Bttrly, which stims are you on? I have experience with bravelle, menopur and Follistim. Everyone responds to the injections differently, but my biggest piece of advice is to ice beforehand. It helps me tremendously. I do it for about 20-30 minutes. You'll do great!

    I'm taking Gonal-F and Menopur.  I'm going to try the icing and see how it goes.  Thanks for the advice!  DH is in charge of all of the mixing and drawing everything up, so that helps a lot too.  It's just one less thing that I let myself get all worked up about, and he's happy to do anything to minimize the chance of a crazy hormonal freak out.  ha ha!  :)

    My hubby does everything for me too. It makes all the difference :) Knowing you're on Menopur I strongly suggest icing. The needle itself doesn't hurt, but the drug burns during delivery. Ice will take the edge off :)

    Not necessarily. My last AF was 25 Sep, I think, and I started BCP. My baseline was 19 Oct. Just stopped BCP two days ago, so no Oct AF yet.

    I start stims tomorrow. I looked at the size of the needles today and am sufficiently nervous. I had my first acupuncture session today and she gave me an IVF meditation CD. I loved it and if this cycle works, I think I'll continue it through pregnancy!

    today was day 4 of lupron, tomorrow is my last bcp and next thursday is my baseline and stims next saturday!. ER 11/7-ish

    Hi!  I am on day 8 of stims.  Today's US showed 3 follicles(all measuring 15) on the right, and 3 (11,12,&13) on the left.  E2 levels are at 425.  I'm taking 2 vials of Menopur and 5 units Lupron in the AM, and 200 IU of Follistim in the PM.  They had to up it a little after day 5, because there wasn't must action going on.  I was als told today that my antral(sp?) follicle number was 18, so they are hoping to get 18 plus or minus 2.  I can't imagine that many.  I can already feel some pressure.  Overall though, doing well.  My biggest complaint is fatigue.  Good Luck!

    I am on day two of Lupron and start Stims next Friday if I am suppressed! Good slick to everyone!

    Me too!  We're in a similar place...  I am on day 8 of stims, have 6 good sized follies total - but 5 are on the right, only 1 on the left... I am not as balanced as you!

    Just had a change up on my drugs - 300 Gonal-F AM, 2 vials Menopur PM (instead of Bravelle that I've been doing), plus adding Ganirelix. 

    ER is looking like Wednesday for me!

    I started stims for IVF-ICSI #2 last night. I've been bumped up to 225 Gonal F. Last time I stimmed for 10 days.

    I am curious if this is going to be another 10 day thing or if the higher dosage will ripen things quicker / make more. I know everyone is different.

    Tonight is my last night of stims and we trigger tomorrow. Our ER is Tuesday morning. I am quite nervous, but excited too.

    I'm late to respond to this post but I started Lupron today, start Follistim tomorrow, and have monitoring appointments Weds and Fri of this week.  ER will be sometime the first week in Nov.

    I love that there are so many of us doing IVF cycles at once! 

    TTC #1 since 12/2009 HSG -all normal SA - perfect Clomid 100 = no response Clomid 150 + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN Clomid 150 = no response Clomid 100 + 75 Follistim + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN Clomid 100 + 75 Follistim + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN ---
    First IVF: Started BCP 10/4, Mock Transfer 10/12, Trigger 11/1, ER 11/3 (32 retrieved, 16 fertilized) - ET 11/8 (transferred two perfect day 5 blasts, 5 more embies frozen). BFP @4dp5dt Beta #1 11/17 = 145! Beta #2 = 996! Pregnant with twins! Lost baby B @8weeks. Perfect baby girl born in July. All of our dreams have come true!

    I'm with you two! I've been on 300 Follistim/ 150 Menopur for several days. I had my third check yesterday. Estrogen went from 182 to 462. They found a whole new batch of follicles yesterday, so we were very excited. There are 4 over 10mm and 11 are still under 10mm. It's been a slow process for me, but I'm okay as long as we are still in the game! 

    TTC in 2009, Dx: Unexplained IF
    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    I just stopped BCPs earlier this week and I go in for my baseline on Monday. The plan is for me to start stims on Monday if all is good. Good luck to all of my cycle buddies! It is really impressive how many of us are cycling at once!
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d

    Very cool.  I'm super excited for you. 

    They just told me today that mine will most likely be Tues or Wed.  More bloodwork tomorrow.  Ughh, my veins are tired.  Today my US showed 4 on each ovary and my E2 was 725.  Nurse made it sound like I was right on track.  Keep me updated on your progress.  I'm new to all this, so hearing from others going though the same thing makes me feel somewhat normal Smile Maybe we will have our ER on the same day!!

    Just saw this now..yeah my RE scheduled the baseline the day after I ended BCPs and then I got AF today. I have another appointment on the 27th for ultrasound and blood work and that'll be 3 days after starting stims.

    Hi! I am new to this board too. I am currently doing my IVF cycle #3. My first 2 were cancelled due to being a poor responder.

    I am on my 5th day of stims today and will have my first u/s and b/w since starting stims tomorrow. This is the longest I have waited to get my first update and it is killing me right now! My first two cycles were canceled on day 10 due to lead follicle and poor responding.

    I feel like my follies are fluffing out like popcorn in my belly...anyone feeling really bloated with the stims? I am sooo tired too.

    I started with 3 days of ganirelix injections and currently taking Gonal-F 225 units twice a day with microdose Ovidrel injections at night. Has anyone been on this antagonist protocol before?My ER tentatively is 10/30-11/1.

    I too feel like I am running a pharmacy out of my apartment. So many medications!

    Me: 39 DH: 39 Dx: MFI, DOR, Poor Responder Our only option is IVF with ICSI; 1/11 IVF#1.1: Lupron flare, canceled lead follie/poor response; 3/11 IVF#1.2: EPP, canceled due to lead follicle/poor response; 10/11 IVF#1.3: Antagonist, microdose HCG, 2 embies 2dt BFN; 12/11 IVF #2: Stims started 12/17, ER: 12/27 3R, 1 mature, 1 fert, other 2 eggs matured overnight and rescue ICSI performed and both fertilized! (frozen on 12/30), On 12/29 1 2d 4-cell, grade 1 embie transferred. 1/12: Scheduled Beta, FX'd! IVF Snowflakes!

    I'm right there with you ladies too.  I am going through my 3rd IVF...and am taking Ganirelex, and Gonal F.  I'm also on estradil and dexamethasone (for slight PCOS) It is looking like Wednesday or Thursday for my ER.  Will hopefully find out tomorrow at my bloodwork and ultrasound.  Good luck everyone!

    Kind of new to the boards. Doing my 2nd round of IVF in November. Just finished my BCPs so waiting for AF then start meds on November 2nd. Looking forward to this round since Dr is taking a more aggressive approach and this time my DH and I have decided to put in 3 embies this time. Looking forward to swapping stories and getting positive outcomes!! Good luck ladies!!
