DS had reflux and was on Prevacid. Worked wonders. DD now has it and her dr. gave us Zantac to try. Anyone else's LO on Zantac? How has it worked for you?? Looking for hope here! TIA!

You're probably going to get a lot of different opinions on reflux meds. Seems like some babies do well on Zantac, while others do better on a different med.
Our LO has been on Zantac for 8 weeks and has done well. While she still spits up, it doesn't bother her nearly as much. We use the syringe and put it directly in her mouth. I've heard others say that their LO's won't take it and they have to get it flavored.
Just got prescribed Zantac yesterday and already I can see a difference. He's still spitting up but its not as much and he's not cranky and crying right before he spits up. Also since we FF I just mix it into his bottle.
Thank you for the responses. I am hoping Zantac does well for DD. She doesn't spit up...she swallows it back down (silent reflux). But hopefully taking care of the burn helps her.

zantac did squat for my DD. We had to switch to prevacid. After a while of her being in pain and not seeing much if any improvement from the zantac, she was put on prevacid. I seen a drastic difference very quickly but she was still in tons of pain. They upped her dose to twice a day now. I practically have a different baby.
We used Zantac for a month with fairly good results. The ALL OF A SUDDEN he started screaming and fussing like crazy again. Turns out he "outgrew" it and is now on Prilosec and is starting to do better again.
Re: Well, we got the official reflux diagnosis...Zantac question
