One Pink, Warm Cheek?

LO's right cheek is red and hot to the touch. She doesn't seem to be teething(don't get me wrong she drools like a champ and chews on everything, but her gums are very soft and pink. She still has that little newborn ridge). It isn't bothering her and she's eating normally.

We have an appointment with the pedi tomorow, but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts to ease my mind?

Re: One Pink, Warm Cheek?

  • P has that all the time. Sometimes one cheek, sometimes both. I take his temp about 10x per week... he's yet to be sick other than a low fever after his 6mo shots.

  • Maybe it's just chapped?  My LO gets a red chin, from drooling so much from teething.  Sometimes her cheeks get a little flushed too, but it goes away w/in a few hours.

  • Scarlett gets this once in a while. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
