Crib safety

Does anyone know if there is a website where I can look up the make and model of a certain crib and find safety reviews?

    I don't know of a reputable site.  Although all cribs sold in the US have to meet the same safety standards, so it doesn't really how much money you spend.

    Thank you! That was exactly what I was wondering.  I saw one at Target that was pretty cheap (and cute).

    FYI - the same standards apply to car seats too.  One is not 'safer' than the other.

    I have the delta eclipse from target for ds and LOVE it! baby bargains didnt rate delta very high, but I love it.

    This is good to know, because a coworker gave me a brand new car seat the other day.  I've been nervous because it wasn't a brand I had ever heard of (Babytrend).  Thank you!

    No problem.  We'll most likely get LO#2's crib from Target too.  DD's crib is a hand-me-down from my SIL.

    I'm getting one that can be converted into a toddler bed, but I don't want to spend a lot of $$ on something the LO will only use for a couple years before the big kid bed.

    I think that's what we're going to do too.  Their cribs are pretty cute considering and if I can get more use out of them by turning them into an actual bed...then yay!
