Used car seats-WWYD?

I'm just thinking ahead.  We will eventually need 2 convertible car seats for Audrey, 3 if we buy one for MILs car since she is our PT day care provider.  The plan is to buy them during the next BRU trade-in sale.  

The infant seat that we used for Stella in the truck has since expired (it was given to us by a trusted friend) so that will go toward the discount on 1 car seat.  The infant seat we are using now goes with our Graco travel system.  I thought about selling the travel system on Craigslist when we're done with the infant seat since we have a double stroller now but I feel weird about selling a used car seat.  Now I'm thinking I will just use it toward a 2nd convertible car seat and just sell the stroller by itself.  WWYD?

    Will you be done with the seat before the next trade in sale? Maybe try to sell it as a TS first, and if no one takes it lower the price and just sell the stroller? 25% off a car seat might be worth more than what you would sell the seat for.

    I personally wouldn't buy a used car seat, but many do because that is what they can afford.

    I would see what gets you more.  For your own personal reasons, I'd put the expiration date of the seat in the ad.  When does the seat expire?  You can assume the person buying it would use it for about a year and wouldn't be buying it far in advance.

    Here's my experience with used car seats...I was looking for a double stroller, and found one that the women included for FREE the carseats that went with it (graco) and bases. So if you're uncomfortable selling, include them for free. I was already familiar with these excact carseats, so I decided to use them, but if they seemed unsafe in ANY way, I would've tossed them.
