  I ordered a bunch of Thomas - figure 8 track, Thomas, Percy, Annie and Clarabel - because I was worried it would sell out closer to the holidays.

  If you can and have the room, I'd get a train table.  They are nice because all ofbthe track stays contained in a specific area, and you're not stepping on it all the time.  Look on craigslist, you can get a good deal.
